Guilt As A Pardon
Why do we operate from 'Guilt'?
Earning lot of money is not an act of evil.
Caring for yourself and people who are close to you does not mean you are egoistc.
Being sad about burning Notre Dame does not mean that your perspective is unbalanced.
But we like 'Feeling Guilty' because it has a certain benefit to do so.
'Feeling Gilty' is like a pardon.
A pardon from facing the real issues in our life.
???
What are the real issues?
It could be the relationship with your mother.
It could be about accepting yourself as who you are.
It could be allowing yourself to realize your desires.
I don't know.
But as long as we are feeling guilty or promoting others to feel guilty, we would be far too busy to realize what the real issues in out lives.
Because life is so short.
If we are facing our real issues, we will have no time for feeling guilty but...
Earning lot of money and spending them to enrich other businesses.
Doing things to make you happy so that your smile would lighten your family and friends' day and their good mood would lift other people up along their ways.
Being out there, hands on to support wild animals in danger of extinction/ children in Africa/ asylum seekers/ homeless people.
No time for feeling guilty.
'Feeling Guilty' is an easier option.
Because we don't have to act.
We can sit in the corner and feel guilty.
..............
No one knows what the space Notre Dame has held and the arts in it have meant to you and to many others for centuries.
No one knows what means what to you and to anyone.
So, we don't need to be apologetic to anybody; and that includes ourselves.
We don't have to be apologetic to ourselves for being ourselves.
When we stop feeling gulity, we will begin seeing what we value in our lives.
What is essential in our lives could be nothing to do with orangutan's welfares.
But when we began valuing our essentials, I believe all the creatures on earth began benefitting from it.
It's like cleaning your house because you like living in a nice tidy space: but as a consequence, all other people in the house also benefit from your desire of living in a clean house.
We exist symbiotically on the planet.
I believe the best thing I can do for our environment, economy and society is actively taking care of my own needs.
Without a guity feeling.

Brushing Teeth
My recent interest is trying a new way of brushing my teeth.
I still use a simple tooth brush.
But I just changed the way I move the tooth brush, the pressure I use and where to focus when I clean my teeth.
It feels so good that I'm totally absorbed in the action of brushing teeth when I do it.
..................................................
I'm almost 43 years old.
For the entire life since I've got my first teeth, I have been brushing my teeth.
But I still find a new way to do it.
I still find a pleasure out of this simple daily hygiene practice after 43 years.
Being human is interesting.
Living is a continuous process of finding myself; what makes me feel good, being innovative about how to please myself.
When I die, I won't be able to bring anything with me.
But I'm certain I would remember how my gum felt after brushing teeth.
I will bring that memory with me.

A Great Realization: The One I Managed to Remember
My son caught a tummy bug other day.
He's getting better but still fighting it off.
I'm glad that the Easter Holidays starts from tomorrow and also we haven't booked anything for the break: he's not missing out from school and we can be flexible with our holiday plans.
Last night, he woke up three times with a sore tummy in the middle of the night.
At one of the times I accompanied him to the bathroom, I thought to myself
"Hmmmm, this is bad. I will be exhausted tomorrow morning with such a broken sleep..."
Then, a thought struck my sleepy head.
What do I mean 'this is bad'?
When I say 'bad', I'm comparing.
I'm comparing tonight with other nights; the nights I experienced in the past when I slept through the night = a normal night.
If I don't compare, tonight is just a night.
Just an experience of a night that consists of accompanying a sick child to the bathroom.
It stands on its own.
Without 'good' or 'bad'.
It is just a night.
I judge things 'good' or 'bad' as comparison to my past experiences that I've decided as 'standard', 'normal' at some time in my life.
But if I don't compare, the experience exists just as it is.
Detouched from judgments.
How free is that?!
I didn't have 'a bad night'.
I just experienced the night that I was woken up every 2 hours.
I felt liberated and content with my reality.
And I forgot about the liberation until now. 😂
It happens to me sometimes that I get a great realization while I am in a half asleep, half awake place and forget all about it in the morning.
Well, this is a rare enough case that I remembered, therefore, it's worthy of writing down what I remembered.
Good night.

Manifestation Remote Control
Today, I'm going to write about a little fun exercise I do.
I call it 'Remote Control'.
I play this game when I have a wish, a dream to come true.
Or when I am in a reality that I don't want to be.
It's just a little game but I see the benefit of playing along this game for some time.
So, if you find it's fun, give it a go.
Since it happens to be a new moon today, let's call it 'Manifestation Remote Control'.
.........................................................................
So, when I have a wish, a dream or am in a reality I don't want to be in, I imagine myself holding a TV remote control.
Yes.
TV remote control.
TV remote control is there for you to tune into different TV stations.
BBC1, BBC2, ITV, CNM, RTE1, RTE2, Sky News...different stations have different frequencies.
Unless the frequency (wavelength) matches, your TV set won't show the program you want to watch.
You adjust the frequencies of the device first and then what you want to watch appears on the screen.
I do the same with my life.
Say I want to have a new car. (= my wish)
The program I want to watch is... 'I got a new car.'
Then, I adjust the frequencies (= my feeling) of the device (= me) by... doing things that makes me feel the same way when I'd get a new car! (= everything that makes me feel blissful and joyful. i.e. eating what I like for lunch, doing self facials, taking a walk, making mandala, making coffee for myself, etc)
Voila! The program I want to watch (= 'I got a new car') appears on the screen (= my reality).
The below example was from the last summer.
I wanted to get 2300 euro back from a doggy online travel agency. (= I'm in a reality I don't want to be in.)
The program I want to watch is...'I got my money back!'
Then, I adjust the frequencies (= my feeling) of the device (= me) by... doing things that makes me feel the same way when I'd get back 2300 euro! (= everything that makes me feel blissful, joyful and relieved...i.e I bluffed that I followed the national Indian cricket team and began complementing about their super star player, Virat Kohli, as I made my 11th call to the customer service team in India requesting the refund, while I have no knowledge of cricket and everything I bluffed was learnt 10 minutes before I made the call.) 😂
Voila! The program I want to watch (='I got my money back!' appears on the screen (= my realty).
Because 'me getting angry with the customer service' doesn't match the reality I want to be in.
The program I wanted to watch was 'me being blissful and joyful.'
There are 2 tips on this game.
No.1: I don't have to think 'HOW'.
I don't know how exactly the TV remote control works.
All I know is the station I want to watch appears on the screen when I press the button on the controller assigned to the station.
I don't need to know the mechanism of the controller.
So, I don't have to think 'How I get a new car' or 'How I get the money back.'
I'd say that's none of my business.
When we have a dream, we often think '...but how can I do this?' and that makes us feel hopeless, helpless and impossible.
Hopeless and helpless and impossible is not the frequency (=our feelings) of the program (= the reality) we want to watch.
So, no need to think 'How'.
No2.: Matching the frequencies.
The most important part of this game is tuning into the frequency (= the wavelength, the vibrations) of what I want!
Just as the TV set won't show the picture I want unless the frequency matches, I won't get the reality I want if my frequency doesn't match to it.
Frequency here means my feeling.
How would I feel when my dream come true?
How would I feel if this becomes the reality?
Blissful, joyous, happy, excited, exuberant, relieved, relaxed, expanded, warm, powerful...
I'd do things that make me feel the same way.
Going for a walk.
Making mandala.
Eating ramen.
Eating eggy rice.
Eating short bread biscuits.
Making coffee for myself.
Holding a hot water bottle.
Blending essential oils for the burner.
Writing a blog post.
Cuddling hens.
Looking at tadpoles.
Reading books.
They are nothing to do with a new car or 2300 euro.
But they give me the same feeling when I get those things I want.
.......................................
That's it.
This is how I get what I want.
It's the same idea as many of the topics I wrote before (and deleted 😂).
- Our reality is the exact reflection of how we are.
- The reflection of the mirror doesn't smile unless you smile first.
- A tough time in life is a great opportunity to realize what we really want.
- Do the things that make you feel good....etc
It's said the new moon is a good time to shoot up our wishes.
Life is a big play ground.
Let's have fun!
Life is a big play ground.
Let's have fun!

The Planet of Masochists
Hello, fellow humans!
I think it's time to realize that we are from the planet of masochists.😁
Yes!
We are!
We like to beat ourselves up.
"I'm not good enough."
"I deserve such a treatment. It's my own fault."
We can be judgemental to others for something absolutely irrelevant to ourselves because we are so insecure that we need putting others down to feel better about ourselves.
"That's not normal." (=I'm normal)
"Isn't this a common sense?" (=I have common sense)
We like to pretend we are doing something important in life so that we don't have to face our true desires.
"I'm busy."
"I have to look after myself" (For what?)
"I have a family and full time job. I have to wait until I retire."
We like to blame others to make sure that we don't let ourselves try what we really want to do.
"My son (adult) still needs my help." (That's why I can't do what I want to do.)
"I'm a supporting role to my family." (Not the main character...in who's life? How about in your life?)
"My husband wouldn't agree." (???)
We like to make our lives difficult.
We like to make our lives complicated.
Because we think our lives don't worth otherwise.
We think hardship makes it more precious.
We think getting difficult tasks make it more worthy to live.
We are masochists!
...........................
It's OK to have easy life.
It's OK you just play.
There are no tasks to be completed.
.
All lives are as precious as any other lives on earth regardless of what they consist.
It's OK to wear underpants from Tesco.
You don't have to wear ethically produced bamboo knickers.
When you smile eating your favourite take away curry and chips, wearing your Tesco knickers, you shine like a Buddha in a 1000 years old temple in Kyoto.
It's OK that your recycling bins are over flowing in the kitchen.
You don't have to reduce your plastic bins to a size of a jar and go recycling centre every weekend.
When you switch on the microwave to heat up your favourite ready meal from M&S as you hum to ipod, the minus ion fills your kitchen as if doing a Shinrin-yoku in the most beautiful forrest in amazon.
It's OK you don't drink 2 L/ 8 glasses of water per day.
When you crack open a bottle of Malbec laughing to your own joke in Tesco knickers, your family and friends realize how lucky they are to be around you and say a little prayer for your wellness.
But Not when you put on a serious face gobbling up a bottle of 9.0+PH balanced water.
So.
You. Don't. Have. To. Find. Every. Little. Reason. To. Beat. Yourself. Up.
I still do it.
I'm an experienced masochist.✨
But I'm better catching myself doing it, these days.
When I find a whip on my hand, I scratch my head and laugh at myself.
And in deep down, I know I became a masochist because I loved myself.
"I can be better than this."
"I don't want to see myself fall."
I beat myself up because I care about myself.
See?
A true masochist.
